This month we’re talking about growing your online groups and communities, and today we’re answering a very important question…
“How much should I SELL in my Facebook group?”
If you remember from my post last week, I recommended selling only 10-20% of the time.
So now, let’s dig into the reason WHY…
Even though having an engaged Facebook group (or a group on any other group platform) WILL help you fill your programs faster, your group is ultimately where your leads and even new clients get to know, love, and trust you.
In fact, the reason you end up selling quicker and easier to group members in the long run … is because you’re NOT selling all the time!
Whether your group is free or paid, it’s where you want to give some of your best, most exclusive content.
You don’t have to give away the farm. In fact, in one of my recent posts, I talked about sharing the “what” and not the “how.” But still following that guideline, the MAJORITY of your content should be valuable for your members.
From there, the 10-20% of the time you DO post invitations to invest in your products or services, it will feel like the next logical next step for your members — not an icky sales pitch.
So if you’re running a week-long promo in your group? That’s fine!
Just make sure leading up to it you’re sharing valuable (and related!) content … and that afterward, you do the same thing 🙂
Similarly, don’t be afraid to pitch every couple of weeks…
Your members will WANT to know how to work with you if you’re over-delivering amazing content all the time!
Make it an amazing day,
