The holidays are ALMOST HERE …
And as long as you plan properly, you should be able to enjoy them.
If you were on my email list last year … you may have already done this mini-systems exercise.
And if that’s the case, you’ll be ahead of the game.
But if you haven’t – there are things you can do NOW that’ll make the rest of this year easier, PLUS it’ll make the holidays next year a breeze.
If you DON’T take the time to get your holiday ducks in a row now …
—> You’ll be thinking/stressed about your business when you’re with your family
—> And when you’re working, you’ll be feeling guilty that you should be spending more time with your family.
But what if you didn’t have to take so much time to prepare for the holidays EVERY YEAR?!
Enter: “Systemizing Your Holidays!”
All this means is creating a quick system for the extra things that need to get done over the holidays …
so that you don’t NEED to reinvent the wheel or start from scratch every year when the holidays roll around.
The key is simply to write it ALL down as you’re doing it.
Just make a little checklist with all of the steps as you go.
I personally like to keep track in Asana (where I manage my entire business).
It might take a little extra time now … but it’ll save you A TON OF TIME next year.
When you do this, you’ll have a solid map to make sure that you’ve crossed all your t’s and dotted all your i’s so you can relax and have some REAL time off over the holidays!
Create systems/documentation for things like your:
- Holiday Business Hours
- Holiday Team Schedule & Time Off
- Client Gifts
- Team Appreciation
- Reflection and Planning
- Upcoming Year Vision Meeting
- Special Holiday Promotions & Offers
- New Year Prep
It’s rare you’ll only do something ONCE in your business.
You’ll likely have to go through the exact same steps NEXT year, too…
Except for next year, you’ll have a handy dandy map to follow 🙂
If you don’t know where to start, just think of what stresses you out the MOST about taking time off during the holidays.
Ask yourself, “If I just did this:______________, it would make a HUGE difference!”
And here’s the great news …
You’ve got time before the holidays roll around to get your stuff done EARLY.
Take advantage of it so you can relax and spend time quality time with your family without the stress.
Make it an amazing day,
