If you’ve seen me posting videos of shelter dogs lately…
You’re probably wondering what’s going on. 😊
No… I’m not starting a dog rescue.
But this is something that’s been on my heart for a long time…
Last week, we visited a local shelter that doesn’t get a lot of funding or exposure.
There are incredible dogs there.
Sweet dogs.
Dogs that would make amazing family pets.
But there’s a problem.
No one even knows they exist.
I certainly didn’t.
Not until my friend (you might know her… Michelle Smith!) fostered a dog who was about to be euthanized simply because this shelter was over capacity.
And that got me thinking…
Sometimes the biggest difference you can make isn’t doing something “big”…
Sometimes it’s just creating an opportunity that didn’t exist before.
For a shelter dog, that opportunity might be someone seeing them online.
For a family, it’s finding the dog they’ve been praying for.
For a coach, it might be finally getting in front of the person whose life they’re meant to change.
Different stories.
Same idea.
One opportunity with the right message can change everything.
The more I build businesses, the more convinced I become that leverage isn’t about building a bigger business.
It’s about increasing your capacity to create more impact.
That’s why I’ve become so fascinated by systems, automation, and AI.
I love what tech makes possible.
(Even though there are many days I want to throw my computer out the window. 😂)
And 🤫 I’ve actually been working on a top-secret project behind the scenes to help shelters & rescues foster and adopt animals faster and easier.
It’s still early, so I’m not ready to share all the details yet…
But I’m really excited about where it’s headed.
And honestly…
Working on it has reminded me why I started building businesses in the first place…
Which is to help create real change and solve meaningful problems.
That’s something I don’t want to lose sight of.
Business has always been about more than revenue for me.
It’s about creating the freedom and capacity to make a bigger difference.
Whether that’s helping a coach reach more clients…
Or helping a shelter dog find a home.
Different mission.
Same purpose.
