One of the most common questions we get from our community is:
Which social networks should I be using?
And our answer is (drumroll please 🥁)…
You should start by using the network you feel most comfortable with AS LONG AS your ideal clients are on there.
And don’t worry about learning another platform until you’ve mastered the first one!
This question comes up more frequently when new networks or new trends pop up (like when TikTok was new, or when Threads happened)…
But the truth is, you don’t need to be everywhere to be effective.
When you stick to learning just ONE social network at a time, you get to dive deep into mastering it.
You’ll know what kind of content works there, what your audience likes, and how to make the algorithm work in your favor.
It’s kind of like learning a foreign language…
You wouldn’t want to learn Spanish, French, and German all at the same time, right?
But even more importantly, social media isn’t just about shouting your message out into the void…
It’s about connecting with your audience.
When you’re focused on learning one social network at a time, you can build a real community that knows, loves, and trusts you on that particular network.
And yes, it’s okay to have one social network that works better for you than others!
Some businesses have a huge presence on Instagram and are practically non-existent on Facebook, while others are crushing it on TikTok and hardly ever post on other networks at all.
If you’ve chosen a network to focus on and you’re not getting any traction after 3-6 months? Then sure, choose another one.
But until then, stay focused, be consistent, and don’t forget to engage with your audience — it WILL pay off!
Make it an amazing day,
Alicia
