A few days ago, I saw an article about a 43 year-old woman named Jenny Nguyen who used her ENTIRE life savings to open a sports bar…that ONLY plays women’s sports.
It’s hilariously named “The Sports Bra”…
And as you might imagine, she was denied loans from EVERY bank she lined up.
The banks told her it was “too risky” for a first-time entrepreneur to open a bar right after the pandemic…
And they didn’t believe there’d be enough interest in a women’s-only sports bar to make the money back.
But they were wrong.
Just 8 months and a couple of Kickstarter campaigns later, the bar has brought in just under $1 million in revenue.
Today? There’s always a line out the door, and now other entrepreneurs are seeking her advice to open women’s sports bars in their states.
Besides the fact that this story is downright AWESOME, here’s the big takeaway from this…
If you’re in my free Facebook group, you might have seen my post about the difference between coaches who are unstoppable and those who are stuck in a rut.
At the end of that post, I shared a quick reframe for when you’re feeling stuck…
The reframe is to ask yourself, “What would the bravest version of myself do right now?”
Can you imagine if Jenny hadn’t been thinking that way?
She definitely wouldn’t have a trailblazing, almost-million dollar business right now, that’s for sure.
The key is to tap into the BRAVEST version of yourself today and every day.
See the big vision. Take educated risks. And freaking go ALL IN.
Make it an amazing day,
Alicia
