Black Friday/Cyber Monday is right around the corner, and before you start slapping massive discounts on your signature programs — WAIT!
Now is the time to start attracting high-quality clients into your programs and upgrading your current clients…
NOT attracting discount-seekers.
That’s why, going into this holiday season, I’m inviting you to think:
VALUE over DISCOUNTS.
In other words, think about how you can “sweeten the deal” for prospects to join your program and clients to upgrade — RATHER than liquidate your cash flow with discounts that are too steep.
And remember — for new leads, you’re looking to attract people who are a great fit for your core program … and who will be likely to STAY with you after their FEO is over.
If you need some ideas, here are a few you can run with:
- For current clients, you can offer a “Membership Booster Pack” that lets them try a higher-tier membership than the one they’re currently in for a limited time.
Not only does this give YOU a quick cash injection … but it opens the door to a longer-term upgrade once they experience the higher-tier membership and fall in love with it! - Another great promo idea for current clients? A “Prime Pass”! Let clients or members purchase a “pass” for $50-$100 that gets them a deal on a selection of your products or services all year long (kind of like Amazon Prime lets you get free shipping!). For example, if you own a gym that sells supplements, maybe you’d sell a $99 VIP pass that gives members a 10% discount on supplements for 12 months. This helps you profit now AND later, and feels like a steal for your members.
- To attract new leads, CHALLENGES are still one of the best ways to go! To “sweeten the deal”, you can offer a special bonus for joining during your Black Friday promo, like some additional resources or training. (You do NOT need to do a deep discount!)
If you have people who have signed up prior to announcing your Black Friday bonus, be sure to give them the bonus, too!
These are just a FEW offers you can promote instead of offering major discounts…
So feel free to use these as a jumping-off point if these don’t align perfectly with your situation!
Just remember: get started sooner than you think, and add more value instead of giving more away.
