I remember when I first started growing and marketing my fitness business, I was everywhere — literally trying to do it all.
From manually sending follow-up emails to painstakingly tracking client progress one spreadsheet at a time, it felt like a never-ending battle against time…
And I was always losing.
I’d tell myself things like, “Once I make enough money to hire an assistant, it’s going to get SO much easier…”
Or “Once I get a few more clients, I’ll be able to scale…”
But the reality was, the more I grew, the more I felt like I was just barely keeping my head above water.
I hear this all the time from other health and fitness coaches…
You need more time to make more money, but you need more money to buy more time.
It’s a catch-22.
The truth is, you don’t need to wait until you can hire someone for help…
And you shouldn’t.
Instead, think about automating more of your business.
Whether it’s scheduling email sequences, organizing client data, or setting up task reminders, each automated task takes a little more off your plate and expands your capacity.
For instance, setting up an automated welcome journey for new subscribers doesn’t just save you time in the long run…
It also guarantees that every prospect receives consistent, timely communication that nurtures them towards becoming a client.
Keep in mind when I say “journey” — I’m not just talking about an email sequence. I’m talking about setting up automated tasks to send client welcome packages, reminders for personal reach-outs, installing client feedback loops, and the list goes on.
Think of it as a virtual assistant who doesn’t need a salary and never takes breaks!
My suggestion? Keep a notepad on your desk this week and write down all the small, repetitive tasks you’re doing on a daily basis.
Next week, work your way down that list and see if you could automate any of those tasks.
You might be surprised at how much you can start putting on autopilot!
I’ll get deeper into what to automate and how this month, so keep an eye out for me in your inbox 🙂
Make it an amazing day,
Alicia
P.S. One of the best things I did for myself when I was growing my fitness business was to NEVER create anything from scratch. If I couldn’t technically “automate” something, I’d template it!
