Why People Open Your Emails But DON’T Buy

Ever wonder why people are opening your emails…

But don’t end up buying anything or signing up for your program?

Maybe you spent a lot of time writing copy, trying to figure out the perfect subject line, listing out the benefits of your offer, and getting every word *just right*…

But you barely have any sales or sign-ups to show for it.

So what’s the problem?

It could very well be your CTA.

CTA stands for “call to action”, and although you might associate it with phrases like “Buy now!” and “Sign up here!”…

An effective CTA that guides people to take action needs to be clear, compelling, and urgent.

In other words, your prospect needs to know exactly what’s in it for them, and why they need to take action now.

The two simplest ways to improve your CTAs?

Remind your prospect of the transformation they can expect if they take the next step, and put a time or scarcity limit on the offer’s availability.

For example…

>> Instead of “Click here to buy now!” try…

“If you’re ready to stop obsessing over every calorie on your plate and start enjoying your meals again, take a minute to see what’s included in my new 6-week program before spots fill up…”

>> Or, instead of “Want to train with us? Click here to sign up!” try…

“Want an extra boost of accountability from a judgment-free group of moms who are ready to put their health and happiness first? Save your spot before doors close in just 48 hours!”

See the difference?

These examples clearly communicate who the offer is for, touch on the transformation or outcome that’s promised, and add in some urgency and scarcity to remind the prospect that the offer won’t last forever.

It can take a few tries to get it just right, but it’s worth it!

Try this next time you send out a campaign and let me know how it goes 🙂

Make today amazing,

Alicia
