The final lesson…

Over the last few emails, I’ve shared some of the real, behind-the-scenes lessons that came from a major shakeup in my business…

But there’s ONE lesson I’ve been saving for last.

Here’s a quick recap of the first few:

Lesson #1: Reframe your struggle into something you can teach

Lesson #2: Being the one who “does it all” is self-sabotage disguised as dedication

Lesson #3: Recurring revenue gives you an unfair advantage

Lesson #4: Hard seasons grow stronger roots (unless you die)

Lesson #5: Cruise control will cost you

Lesson #6: Distance creates blind spots

If you want to catch up, I’ve got everything over on my blog here.

Ok let’s get into it.

First: a little brutal honesty.

I’ve been pretty disheartened by the health & fitness industry during the last few years.

Things have changed.

A LOT.

Maybe you’ve felt it too.

There’s a sense of emptiness in so many of the conversations in our space (and in online marketing in general).

Somewhere along the way, the message shifted from:

“Change lives and build something meaningful, and make a great living doing it.”

to:

“Hit 10K, 50K, or 100K months” or “do whatever it takes to get the click.”

For the record, I’m ALL IN for growth.

I’m not anti-revenue, systems, or scaling.

I teach all of those things.

But when money becomes the only goal…

Or the PRIMARY focus…

We lose the why.

And we lose connection.

Things begin to feel more hollow and less meaningful.

I talk to coaches every day that have SO MUCH HEART and such a love for what they do…

But still feel like they’re failing.

They either don’t know where to start…

Or how to gain real traction…

Or like they’re never doing enough.

They’re burned out just trying to “keep up”…

Let alone feel creative enough to dream and build.

And this absolutely breaks my heart.

It takes a special kind of sharpness to cut through the noise…

and see through the BS and muck.

NOW MORE THAN EVER…

We need discernment.

We need to connect and STAY connected to what TRULY matters.

Losing 2 key team members over the last 7 months forced me to slow down, zoom out, and take a hard look at the foundation I was building on.

And what helped me realign wasn’t more strategy or a new system.

For me, it was this:

Prioritizing a daily walk with God.

Giving Him my BEST time. First thing in the morning.

I started reading the Bible again EVERY DAY.

I prayed for guidance and direction on my next steps….

And for discernment. And wisdom.

Not for what “I want” to build…

(Which is what I’ve been SO focused on over the last few years.)

But for guidance on what I’m being CALLED to build and create. (BIG difference.)

Recognizing this was a huge shift for me.

Not just in my business… but in how I lead, how I show up, and how I make decisions.

Maybe it’s something similar for you…

Or maybe it looks completely different.

But one thing’s for sure:

When you’re disconnected from your true purpose…

It’s far too easy to chase the wrong goals.

And here’s the hard truth…

Hitting goals when you’re out of alignment will leave you feeling unfulfilled, no matter how much you accomplish.

Which brings me to the final lesson in this series:

Lesson #7: Clarity comes when you reconnect with your true purpose.

If any of this hits a little too close to home…

Here are a few questions to reflect on:

  • Am I building something I deeply believe in? Or chasing what I think I’m supposed to want?
  • What would alignment actually look & feel like for me right now?
  • Is my current pace driven by purpose… or pressure?
  • What’s one small shift I can make this week to reconnect with what matters most?

If you’re a little off course…

Now might be the perfect time to take a breath, zoom out, and realign with what actually matters.

If this resonated, hit reply and let me know. Or if you’ve got questions, I’m here for that too.

Make it an amazing day,

Alicia
