The 5 Strategies That Make (or Break) Your New Year Promo

The countdown is ON! The New Year is almost here, and if you want to pack your program, now’s the moment to make it happen.

Whether you’re still pulling it together or just putting on the finishing touches, these five strategies will help you turn it into one of your best offers yet.

Let’s dive in:

TIP #1 – Start Your Program Jan 20th (or Later!)

Here’s why: the first couple of weeks in January are usually chaotic. Vacations wrap up, kids head back to school, and schedules are all over the place.

Plus, this also gives you time to market your offer and make adjustments as needed.

TIP #2 – Build a 2.5-Week Marketing Cushion

Speaking of marketing … plan for at least 2.5 weeks to promote.

Why? It gives you the flexibility to adjust if needed—whether it’s tweaking your ads, adding a bonus, or following up with leads. This buffer time is KEY if you want to avoid a lot of last-minute stress.

TIP #3 – Create an Irresistible Fast-Action Bonus

This is a killer strategy that not enough people tap into. Reward early action-takers with an AMAZING bonus or special discount. It not only drives urgency… but it also builds a lot of buzz for your offer.

I’ve used this strategy in every launch I’ve ever done—because it works. So think about what would make your ideal client jump in ASAP.

TIP #4 – Give Away ONE to Sell More

Want to generate excitement and momentum AND engage your audience? Give away one spot in your program.

This works well for creating conversations around high-ticket offers, too. A partial scholarship or application-based giveaway gets people thinking about why they need your program while boosting engagement and visibility. It’s a win-win!

TIP #5 – Use the “Pricing Rubber Band Rule”

Wondering how to price your New Year program? Here’s a simple framework:

For front-end offers, aim for about 25% higher or lower than what the same timeframe would cost in your coaching program.

I usually lean toward pricing it higher—it reinforces the value without putting it out of reach. Just make sure your price aligns with the value and any extra costs you’re covering.

That’s it—five strategies to help make your New Year promo a success!

Hope you found this helpful.

2025 is going to be a great year,

Alicia
